Thomas Construction Group completed the sitework and new construction of a 13,000-square-foot educational facility on the campus of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The building supports the university’s undergraduate program in cinema, production, and filmmaking, providing specialized spaces designed for instruction, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
Key features include sound-rated partitions and doors, fire-rated assemblies, an ADA lift, and sloped interior flooring. Construction also incorporated concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, a pre-engineered metal building frame, standing seam roofing, aluminum storefronts, and a combination of wood and metal doors. Site work encompassed full utility extensions, grading, drainage, stormwater control, vehicular and pedestrian pavements, irrigation, and landscaping.
