Located on the campus of University of North Carolina Wilmington, Thomas Construction Group completed the demolition and reconstruction of the exterior terrace at the former CIS Building, now known as Congdon Hall. The project delivered a modernized outdoor terrace designed to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and long-term durability. Scope of work included new concrete foundations, steel structural framing, roof pavers on pedestals, membrane roofing, glass railings, GFRC column wraps, brick planters, and a new at-grade concrete patio.

Additional upgrades incorporated new lighting, power, roof drainage, fire suppression systems, landscaping, and irrigation. Interior renovations included demolition and reconstruction of two offices and replacement of metal wall panels with wood panels at the monumental stair, creating a warm, contemporary finish within the building’s main atrium.
