UNC-W Indoor Practice Facility

Thomas Construction Group constructed the indoor practice facility at UNC Wilmington’s Brooks Field, supporting both the university’s baseball and softball programs. The facility enhances year-round training opportunities for student-athletes while providing dedicated spaces for player development and athletic operations.

The front section includes an entry lobby, locker rooms for umpires and professional players, an athletic training room, and mechanical and electrical support spaces. The 13,000-square-foot practice area features fully enclosed netting and six retractable batting cages that can be raised or lowered independently—allowing for flexible use of space and optimized training efficiency.
