Thomas Construction Group completed the construction of a 17,560-square-foot pre-engineered facility for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The one-story building features steel walls with brick veneer, an insulated glass storefront, and a standing seam metal roof designed for long-term durability and efficiency.
Sustainability and performance were central to the project’s design. The facility utilizes a geothermal heating and cooling system in place of conventional equipment to reduce energy use and maintenance costs. Additional features include energy-efficient lighting with motion sensors, demountable wall panels, and a modular roof system—reflecting Thomas Construction Group’s commitment to delivering smart, sustainable solutions for state and municipal clients.
