As part of New Hanover County’s new Government Center redevelopment, Thomas Construction Group delivered a 7,500-square-foot stand-alone Board of Elections facility following the demolition of the previous strip center in Wilmington, NC.
Purpose-built to support secure and efficient election operations, the new facility includes a one-stop voting area, mail-in ballot processing room, secure storage, offices, workstations, hoteling space, and a large conference room. A covered entry canopy with dedicated curbside voting parking enhances accessibility and voter convenience, while the building’s controlled environment ensures the integrity and safety of all election activities.
