Ocean Ridge Center is a new community amenity hub for Ocean Ridge Plantation in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, developed by the Ocean Ridge Masters Association to expand year-round recreation and gathering space for residents.
Designed to support everything from neighborhood meetings to large-scale social events, the approximately 10,000 SF amenity building includes flexible meeting and event space with partition capability, a service kitchen, meeting rooms, a conference room, and administrative offices. The campus also features major site and infrastructure improvements, including new utilities and internal access roads, plus an expanded parking layout of roughly 133 spaces to accommodate daily use and peak event traffic.
Outside, the park creates a true “all-ages” destination with pickleball courts, a band pavilion and event lawn, and a resort-style, zero-entry outdoor pool with a pool house and an expansive pool deck.
From a construction standpoint, the amenity building is notable for its mass timber structure, utilizing a glulam timber frame with CLT roof panels, a material strategy that supports durability while creating a warm, welcoming interior experience.
Thomas Construction Group was awarded both the preconstruction agreement and the construction contract for the project.
