As part of a major expansion to one of North Carolina’s premier coastal destinations, Thomas Construction Group served as Construction Manager for the new aquatic and dining facilities at Bald Head Island Club in Bald Head Island, NC. The project transformed the member experience with four new pools and expansive decks designed for lap swimming, aerobics, swim lessons, and family recreation.
Inspired by Caribbean design, the 5,200 SF open-air Horizons restaurant comfortably seats 200 guests and serves island- and locally-inspired cuisine, further enhancing the resort-style atmosphere. Amenities include an Olympic lap pool, leisure pool, splash pad and zero-entry pool, water slides with a slide tower, shaded cabanas and trellises, and a poolside cabana bar.
Construction was carefully sequenced to allow the existing pool and temporary dining areas to remain open throughout the summer season, ensuring uninterrupted service to members. Chambers USA served as the project’s Architect-of-Record.
