Construction of a new aquatic and dining facility on one of North Carolina’s southernmost barrier islands is complete. As is a premier destination for vacations and events, Bald Head Island Club selected Thomas Construction Group to serve as Construction Manager for the renovation and addition to its existing facilities.

The new aquatic facility includes four new pools and decks designed to offer members and guests a more diverse experience, complete with spaces for activities such as lap swimming, aerobics, and swim lessons. Taking cues from the Caribbean, the 5,200 SF, open-air Horizons restaurant adds to the resort-like feeling, comfortably seating 200 people and serves island and locally-inspired food.

Specific features include an Olympic lap pool, leisure pool, splash pad and zero-entry pool, slide tower and water slides, cabanas and trellises, a pool-side cabana bar and a new Restaurant. Since construction occurred during summer months, work continued while the existing pool and temporary dining remained open to the Club’s membership without interruption.
