Air Wilmington’s newest state-of-the-art hangar is the largest (almost double the size of the largest previously existing hangar on site) measuring 35′ high, 140′ deep and 150′ wide. The front door opening measures 138′ with a height opening of 28 feet for larger aircraft. This hangar can contain multiple airplanes while meeting the 130 mph required wind load with over 800 cubic yards of concrete to hold it in place.

Equipped with a sprinkler and foam system, the enclosed hangar has a floor that will support a load of 100,000 pounds per tire with 11″ thickness.
