Thomas Construction Group is currently constructing the Burton Park Medical Office Building (MOB), a two-story, Class A medical office facility totaling approximately 36,000 square feet, located within the Burton Park business and industrial park in Onslow County. Developed by Trask Land Company in partnership with Onslow Memorial Hospital and the County, the project represents the first phase of a broader mixed-use vision and a key investment in expanding access to healthcare services for the growing Jacksonville area.
Thomas is serving as design-builder for the project, overseeing construction of the building’s core and shell. Designed with long-term flexibility in mind, the facility features a conventional steel frame structure, a masonry and glass exterior, and a steel-framed porte cochere at the main entrance. Interior common areas will be fully finished, while tenant spaces will be delivered as warm/dark shell to accommodate future medical buildouts. The building core is designed to support either a single tenant or multiple tenants, allowing adaptability as healthcare needs evolve. The project is expected to reach substantial completion within 12 months, with the facility opening in early 2027.
