General Electric Aviation Expansion

General Electric Aviation Expansion

Thomas completed an 8,000 SF addition for General Electric – Aviation (now GE Aerospace) consisting of conventional spread footings, structural steel and deck, metal girts and siding, EPDM roofing and bridge cranes to house the largest inertia friction welding machine in the world. The building addition was attached to the existing production area, with all tie-ins being made deep in the plant without interrupting production. Thomas also completed an extensive renovation of the existing Café within the facility.
