Adding on to an existing behavioral health hospital, Thomas Construction Group built the new addition (Building 1), which consisted of a PRTF wing, chemical dependence wing and an adult wing to include a total of 72 beds. The new west addition (Building 2) consisted of two geriatric wings with 48 beds. The new southwest addition (Building 3) consisted of a remodel of the existing pool area into new indoor facility offices. These additions, totaling 162 beds, was complete 2014. In 2016, TCG went back to Las Vegas for SBH’s expansion of the facility to include two geriatric units with a dining facility located between the two (total of 40 additional beds). Thomas Construction Group is Strategic Behavioral Health’s construction partner for all new facilities and expansions. The Memphis-based company offers group counseling, family and recreational therapy, education services and vocational training. The facility employs physicians, nurses, mental health technicians and others. Services at specific SBH centers include around the clock treatment for substance abuse, depression, grief, and other mental health problems, as well as acute geriatric behavioral health providing treatment and support to seniors and their families with psychiatric disorders.
