Thomas Construction Group completed demolition and early renovation work for the conversion of the former Spring Arbor assisted living facility on New Hope Road into a substance use disorder treatment facility for Summit Behavioral Health. The 31,500-square-foot existing facility required selective demolition, debris removal, and cleanup to prepare the building for its next phase of construction and clinical use.
The scope included removal of existing flooring, casework, patient-room components, window treatments, interior doors, frames, selected walls, bathroom accessories, and kitchen-related elements. Thomas also addressed areas impacted by vandalism and prior building damage, helping clear the way for a safe, efficient renovation of the former senior living environment into a behavioral health care setting.
This project reflects Thomas’ experience with adaptive reuse, behavioral health environments, and renovation work within existing care facilities, where early planning, clean demolition, and careful coordination are essential to preparing a building for a new purpose.
