Peak View Behavioral Health is a 94-bed, 56,000 SF acute geriatric behavioral health center and psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing quality behavioral healthcare to promote growth and structure for clients and families. The center treats adolescents, adults and seniors in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Thomas returned to Colorado Springs for the expansion and built a new acute addition to the existing hospital consisting of two acute unit expansions, for a total of 20 additional beds. Thomas also constructed a new 8,000 SF, free-standing medical office building for outpatient services and includes nine group rooms, consult/offices, and a multi-purpose room. Thomas Construction Group is Strategic Behavioral Health’s construction partner for all new facilities and expansions. The Memphis-based company offers group counseling, family and recreational therapy, education services and vocational training. The facility employs physicians, nurses, mental health technicians and others. Services at specific SBH centers include around the clock treatment for substance abuse, depression, grief, and other mental health problems, as well as acute geriatric behavioral health providing treatment and support to seniors and their families with psychiatric disorders. Thomas has completed 19 projects for Strategic Behavioral Health in nine different states.
