Wave of Promotions

It was once said that people don’t get promoted for doing their job well, but rather by demonstrating their potential to do more and at Thomas Construction Group, LLC (Thomas), we are proud to recognize and reward that potential. At the end of the First Quarter 2022, Thomas announced a wave of promotions in the Operations Department.   

 

First amongst the promotions are two of Thomas’ field team members, ALI WALCOTT and CORWIN COATS, both of whom were promoted to Carpenter. Ali is integral part of the team at Hudson Renaissance Apartments and Corwin is quickly becoming well-known for his hard work on the team at nCino Headquarters project, both located in Wilmington, N.C.   

 

Making their way from Assistant Superintendent to Superintendent are both JAMES NOBLE and CLIFFORD (CJ) TAPPEL. Most recently, James has been working at Autumn Hall and the completion of Ash Aziz’s newest restaurant: Origins. CJ recently completed a project at Brunswick Forest on their new Amenity Center and is now helping to orchestrate Thomas’ efforts at Autumn Hall, Building 2.  

 

Being promoted to Project Engineer, Thomas would like to recognize BRIAN DURKIN, WIL TIEBOUT, and WYATT JOHNSON.  Brian is working on the expansion and upgrades at nCino, while Wil, an Indiana native, is focused on a project for Acadia Healthcare at their Maple Heights Behavioral Health Hospital, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Wyatt is working on the Hudson Renaissance Apartments in Wilmington and is also focused on their newest project, Hudson at Carolina Colours Apartments, in New Bern, N.C. 

 

NOAH PRICE is Thomas’ newest Assistant Project Manager, being promoted from Field Engineer. Noah has been a dedicated team member at the New Hanover County Government Center project and will continue to lead in his new role. Additionally, he is  

 

Thomas is proud to announce the promotion of STEPHANIE BATEWELL from Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager. Under Stephanie’s leadership, Thomas recently completed the Atlantic Beach Municipal Complex project and the Brunswick Forest Amenity Center. She will now be focused on Thomas’ projects in Autumn Hall and at Carolina Bay Garden Flats expansion, which is slated to start later this year.  

 

Lastly, LAURA WILLIAMS has been promoted to Corporate Compliance Coordinator. This position is new to Thomas and its creation & need stems from Thomas’ growing commitment to company processes for the best possible client experience. Laura has been with Thomas for 17 years and has enthusiastically taken on this new role, as both her career and the company have evolved.
