Thomas Construction Group is proud to serve as general contractor for a new 36,000-square-foot Class A Medical Office Building (MOB) in Burton Park in Onslow County, NC. The $14 million project, developed by Trask Land Company in partnership with Onslow Memorial Hospital and Onslow County, represents a significant milestone in the County’s long-term economic development strategy.
Located within the 250-acre Burton Park business and industrial park off Richlands Highway, this state-of-the-art two-story facility marks the first phase of a larger mixed-use vision for the property. Once complete, the MOB will expand medical services for the Jacksonville and Onslow County communities, meeting the growing demand for accessible healthcare in one of North Carolina’s fastest-growing regions.
More than a healthcare expansion, the Burton Park project is a catalyst for broader economic growth in Onslow County. The initiative has been supported through a performance-based economic development agreement with the County, designed to attract private investment, create new jobs, and generate taxable development.
The development team includes Trask Land Company as developer, Thomas Construction Group as design-builder, LS3P as the Architect of Record, and Honeycutt Construction Services for civil construction. Thomas will oversee construction of the building’s core and shell, with substantial completion anticipated within 12 months. The facility is expected to open in early 2027, supporting Onslow Memorial Hospital and healthcare providers as they expand services in the community.
