Construction of student housing in a mixed-use development is underway on South Kerr Avenue in Wilmington. Replacing an outdated shopping center, Kerr Station Lofts will consist of one four-story and one three-story building with 120 student apartment units, more than 5,000 square feet of retail/restaurant spaces and 30 2-story townhomes with sidewalk connections. Also, plans call for a courtyard pool and outdoor recreation area, clubhouse and amenity center.
The project owner is CA Ventures of Chicago and Rosemann & Associates is the Architect-of-Record of Atlanta. Project completion is anticipated to be Summer 2020.
