Acadia Healthcare, one of the largest behavioral healthcare providers in the country operating in 39 states, selected Thomas Construction Group to serve as Construction Manager and General Contractor for Wilmington Treatment Center’s new Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Center and two patient apartment dormitories.
The PHP provides the most intensive level of non-residential, non-inpatient care for individuals who struggle with substance abuse and addition, mental health disorders, and/or behavioral health disorders. For the patients who currently live in halfway houses throughout the community, the newly completed patient dormitory apartments allow for residential treatment and recovery by providing a safe environment and stepping away from his or her everyday life to focus solely on healing.
The main hospital program building and two-story housing, designed by Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects of Nashville, TN, consists of 39,000 sq. ft. and 36,000 sq. ft., respectively.
