After 15 years with Thomas Construction Group and a 42-year career in Wilmington, Vince Tryer is beginning his well-earned retirement.
Throughout his time with Thomas, Vince has played a meaningful role in helping shape the company we are today. His leadership, experience, and steady presence have strengthened our operations, supported our teams, and contributed to the foundation we continue to build on.
Vince’s career has been defined by commitment. He led major projects, helped guide field operations, supported project teams, and brought a deep understanding of construction to every challenge in front of him. Those who have worked with Vince know his leadership style well: steady, direct, committed, and always focused on getting the job done the right way.
He brought urgency to his work, followed through on his commitments, and earned respect across our company, with our trade partners, and with our clients. His impact can be seen not only in the projects he helped deliver, but in the people he mentored, the teams he supported, and the standard he helped uphold.
At Thomas, we often talk about leaving others stronger. Vince has done exactly that.
He leaves Thomas stronger than he found it, and we are grateful for the lasting impact he has made on our company, our people, and the Wilmington construction community.
Please join us in thanking Vince for his 15 years with Thomas and congratulating him on an incredible 42-year career. We wish him the very best as he begins this next chapter.
