YMCA Announces New Board Leadership

The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina is pleased to announce the election of Jim Hundley as the chair of the nonprofit’s Board of Directors. Hundley succeeds Walker Rudd, and will serve a two-year term, ending in 2021.  Russell Herring was elected Vice-Chair and Corby Johnson will continue to serve as Secretary/Treasurer for the board.

Hundley, EVP and Director of Preconstruction at Thomas Construction Group, will provide leadership to the Y’s Board of Directors, setting strategic direction and policy to support the Y’s work in the greater Wilmington Community. A resident of Wilmington, Hundley was appointed to the Y’s board in 2012. He served as vice-chair of the board, and was a member of the Long Range Planning Committee. Additionally, Hundley is affiliated with the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, the Charleston Chamber of Commerce, and the Port Waterway and Beach Commission.
